ANNOUNCEMENT OF CHANGES TO QUIDEL LINE OF PRODUCTS

Quidel Corporation and bioMérieux have recently announced a long-term global alliance in the area of rapid

clinical diagnostics for the point-of-care market leading to the co-development of new rapid diagnostic

tests using Quidel’s rapid test development capability and bioMérieux’s expertise and extensive library of

antibodies and antigens. bioMérieux is now the exclusive distributor of all of Quidel’s QuickVue® rapid

diagnostic tests in all countries except the United States, Japan and Scandinavia effective May 2008.

Innovatek Medical Inc., has been appointed as the “bioMérieux authorized distributor” in

Canada. The ordering of QuickVue® products will continue to be ordered from Innovatek Medical Inc.,

however there will be some packaging and catalogue number changes.

The major change will be a logo change on the outside packaging. The brand name QuickVue® will remain

on the packaging. There will be no changes made to the interior of the packaging or the test procedures.

Quidel is still the manufacturer. The only other very important change will be the catalogue numbers and

these are tabulated as follows:

Please us the new catalogue number in all future orders. We will continue to ship Quidel labelled products until current stock runs out and this should take place fairly soon. There are no price changes at this time.
